Blah and chickens....

Well, I know I was saying I was gonna do a Horror Movie Quiz again this year but it's not going to happen. Unexpected things have happened in my life that's not letting me have the extra coin for a prize. Sorry for those 3 people who read these...lol I also don't have that much time to be watching a couple dozen horror movies and then write a crappy review about it.

What has been happening in my life? Well, my new place is still coming along. Still about half way left of organizing. It sucks when you have no storage room and the place is small. I am also doing a 13 financial class. I hope this helps out with me being able to start a solid savings and emergency fund for those expected things in life.

Yesterday I reached level 28 of my life. This is my own way of me coping from getting older. Life is like a game...live it. lol

I've been playing lots and lots of Borderlands 2. I don't think I put another disc into my XBox360 since the game came out. I am almost done the game with my main single player, the assassin, and I have the gunzerker and commando as co-op players. Haven't started the siren yet, but I will soon...I hope.
If anyone wants to game with me on Borderlands 2, add me to XBL but message me first saying you found me on my blog. SG Weasel <--- my gamertag.

Well, this is all I got to write about today I got stuff to do at work and my break is almost over.

Life is like a box of chocolates, some sweet, some bad, and the occasional nut...lol

I'm still here

I know I haven't actually made a blog in the past while but life has been crazy busy.
I just moved the end of last month and I now do not have a computer at home. Well I do but it wont turn on for some damn reason. I gotta try to see whats wrong, but this might be the push to have me buy or build a whole new one. But that wont be too soon because about 9 boxes of my possessions that I had in storage ended up betting damaged so I now have to buy all my kitchen stuff again. Yay me. :/

I will try to keep up with the blog from time to time, I hope once a week but I am not promising anything. Plus I will be doing another Horror Movie Quiz in October. I just hope I can get internet again soon at my new place sooner then later so I can start watching more and more horror movies. I was gonna do one in December for Christmas movies but its Christmas and I'd rather spend my extra money on my family then random people on the interwebs.

Today is a very special day for me, well, more so for my daughter, today is her 8th birthday. Life has changed so much in the past 8 years. It has been up and down but this journey has been very joyful.

So whats new with me besides moving and loosing lots of my stuff...well, I've been playing a lot of Minecraft for XBox360, I finally started playing Saints Row The Third after having it for over 7 months...lol I picked up Lollipop Chainsaw and played the shit outta that for a few weeks. Fun game, but can get old fast.
I am looking forward for only 3 games this year. Borderlands 2, Assassin's Creed 3 and Halo 4. I have all of them pre-ordered and I'm getting the most expensive deal for all of them. That is setting me back around $400+. I know crazy eh?! That is pretty much keeping me from purchasing the Halo 4 special edition XBox 360.

Well, I'm heading to finish up the last 2 1/2 hours of work. Lots of jobs in. Most are rush jobs like usual from this one company. And like I said, I will try to keep up with my blog even if I talk about me not having anything to write about. Hell, I might post tomorrow about dating...or money....or a small pick rabbit....lol

A Letter In A Lost Wallet

Now I don't know if this story is true, but it can show you that God has made someone special for each and every one of us, and even if it takes you 60+ years to find that person, God will make it so, all you need is faith.

As I walked home one freezing day, I stumbled on a wallet someone had lost in the street. I picked it up and looked inside to find some identification so I could call the owner. But the wallet contained only three dollars and a crumpled letter that looked as if it had been in there for years.

The envelope was worn and the only thing that was legible on it was the return address. I started to open the letter, hoping to find some clue. Then I saw the dateline--1924. The letter had been written almost sixty years ago.

It was written in a beautiful feminine handwriting on powder blue stationery with a little flower in the left-hand corner. It was a "Dear John" letter that told the recipient, whose name appeared to be Michael, that the
writer could not see him any more because her mother forbade it. Even so, she wrote that she would always love him.

It was signed, Hannah.

It was a beautiful letter, but there was no way except for the name Michael, that the owner could be identified. Maybe if I called information, the operator could find a phone listing for the address on the envelope.

"Operator," I began, "this is an unusual request. I'm trying to find the owner of a wallet that I found. Is there anyway you can tell me if there is a phone number for an address that was on an envelope in the wallet?"

She suggested I speak with her supervisor, who hesitated for a moment then said, "Well, there is a phone listing at that address, but I can't give you the number." She said, as a courtesy, she would call that number, explain my story and would ask them if they wanted her to connect me. I waited a few minutes and then she was back on the line. "I have a party who will speak with you."

I asked the woman on the other end of the line if she knew anyone by the name of Hannah. She gasped, "Oh! We bought this house from a family who had a daughter named Hannah. But that was 30 years ago!"

"Would you know where that family could be located now?" I asked. "I remember that Hannah had to place her mother in a nursing home some years ago," the woman said. "Maybe if you got in touch with them they might be able to track down the daughter."

She gave me the name of the nursing home and I called the number. They told me the old lady had passed away some years ago but they did have a phone number for where they thought the daughter might be living.

I thanked them and phoned. The woman who answered explained that Hannah herself was now living in a nursing home.

This whole thing was stupid, I thought to myself. Why was I making such a big deal over finding the owner of a wallet that had only three dollars and a letter that was almost 60 years old?

Nevertheless, I called the nursing home in which Hannah was supposed to be living and the man who answered the phone told me, "Yes, Hannah is staying with us. "

Even though it was already 10 p.m., I asked if I could come by to see her. "Well," he said hesitatingly, "if you want to take a chance, she might be in the day room watching television."

I thanked him and drove over to the nursing home. The night nurse and a guard greeted me at the door. We went up to the third floor of the large building. In the day room, the nurse introduced me to Hannah.

She was a sweet, silver-haired old timer with a warm smile and a twinkle in her eye.

I told her about finding the wallet and showed her the letter. The second she saw the powder blue envelope with that little flower on the left, she took a deep breath and said, "Young man, this letter was the last contact I ever had with Michael."

She looked away for a moment deep in thought and then said Softly, "I loved him very much. But I was only 16 at the time and my mother felt I was too young. Oh, he was so handsome. He looked like Sean Connery, the actor."

"Yes," she continued. "Michael Goldstein was a wonderful person. If you should find him, tell him I think of him often. And," she hesitated for a moment, almost biting her lip, "tell him I still love him. You know," she said
smiling as tears began to well up in her eyes, "I never did marry. I guess no one ever matched up to Michael..."

I thanked Hannah and said goodbye. I took the elevator to the first floor and as I stood by the door, the guard there asked, "Was the old lady able to help you?"

I told him she had given me a lead. "At least I have a last name. But I think I'll let it go for a while. I spent almost the whole day trying to find the owner of this wallet."

I had taken out the wallet, which was a simple brown leather case with red lacing on the side. When the guard saw it, he said, "Hey, wait a minute! That's Mr. Goldstein's wallet. I'd know it anywhere with that bright red
lacing. He's always losing that wallet. I must have found it in the halls at least three times."

"Who's Mr. Goldstein?" I asked as my hand began to shake.

"He's one of the old timers on the 8th floor. That's Mike Goldstein's wallet for sure. He must have lost it on one of his walks."

I thanked the guard and quickly ran back to the nurse's office. I told her what the guard had said. We went back to the elevator and got on. I prayed that Mr. Goldstein would be up.

On the eighth floor, the floor nurse said, "I think he's still in the day room. He likes to read at night. He's a darling old man."

We went to the only room that had any lights on and there was a man reading a book. The nurse went over to him and asked if he had lost his wallet. Mr. Goldstein looked up with surprise, put his hand in his back pocket and said, "Oh, it is missing!"

"This kind gentleman found a wallet and we wondered if it could be yours?"

I handed Mr. Goldstein the wallet and the second he saw it, he smiled with relief and said, "Yes, that's it! It must have dropped out of my pocket this afternoon. I want to give you a reward."

"No, thank you," I said. "But I have to tell you something. I read the letter in the hope of finding out who owned the wallet."

The smile on his face suddenly disappeared. "You read that letter?"

"Not only did I read it, I think I know where Hannah is."

He suddenly grew pale. "Hannah? You know where she is? How is she? Is she still as pretty as she was? Please, please tell me," he begged.

"She's fine...just as pretty as when you knew her." I said softly.

The old man smiled with anticipation and asked, "Could you tell me where she is? I want to call her tomorrow." He grabbed my hand and said, "You know something, mister, I was so in love with that girl that when that letter came, my life literally ended. I never married. I guess I've always loved her. "

"Mr. Goldstein," I said, "Come with me."

We took the elevator down to the third floor. The hallways were darkened and only one or two little night-lights lit our way to the day room where Hannah was sitting alone watching the television. The nurse walked over to her.

"Hannah," she said softly, pointing to Michael, who was waiting with me in the doorway. "Do you know this man?"

She adjusted her glasses, looked for a moment, but didn't say a word. Michael said softly, almost in a whisper, "Hannah, it's Michael. Do you remember me?"

She gasped, "Michael! I don't believe it! Michael! It's you! My Michael!" He walked slowly towards her and they embraced. The nurse and I left with tears streaming down our faces.

"See," I said. "See how the Good Lord works! If it's meant to be, it will be."

About three weeks later I got a call at my office from the nursing home. "Can you break away on Sunday to attend a wedding? Michael and Hannah are going to tie the knot!"

It was a beautiful wedding with all the people at the nursing home dressed up to join in the celebration. Hannah wore a light beige dress and looked beautiful. Michael wore a dark blue suit and stood tall. They made me their best man.

The hospital gave them their own room and if you ever wanted to see a 76-year-old bride and a 79-year-old groom acting like two teenagers, you had to see this couple.

The Professor and the Student.

I seen this shared on Facebook by another blogger I follow, Lauren Out Loud. I read it and liked it. I think its a must read to everyone. Please read all the way to the end. You will be surprised whom the student was.

Professor : You are a Christian, aren’t you, son ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is GOD good ?
Student : Sure.
Professor: Is GOD all powerful ?
Student : Yes.
Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn’t. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

(Student was silent.)

Professor: You can’t answer, can you ? Let’s start again, young fella. Is GOD good?
Student : Yes.
Professor: Is satan good ?
Student : No.
Professor: Where does satan come from ?
Student : From … GOD …
Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student : Yes.
Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?
Student : Yes.
Professor: So who created evil ?

 (Student did not answer.)

Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor: So, who created them ?

(Student had no answer.)

Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?
Student : No, sir.
Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?
Student : No , sir.
Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?
Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.
Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student : Yes.
Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.
Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Professor: Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as cold?
Professor: Yes.
Student : No, sir. There isn’t.

(The lecture theater became very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?
Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, well you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?
Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ?
Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.

Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class was in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?

(The class broke out into laughter. )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.
Student : That is it sir … Exactly ! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving.

P.S.

I believe you have enjoyed the conversation. And if so, you’ll probably want your friends / colleagues to enjoy the same, won’t you?

Forward this to increase their knowledge … or FAITH.

By the way, that student was EINSTEIN.

Video Game Project

Wow, two blog posts in the same week. Whats going on????
Well, I'll tell you...only because why else would I be doing back to back blogz....?
Since the title of this blog is "Video Game Project", its not hard to figure out what its related to.

Since I was knee size to a grasshopper, I've played video games. Started off with a Nintendo Entertainment System, moved on to the Super NES, N64, with a gameboy somewhere in the mix. My N64 got stolen from my sisters so I ended up getting a PlayStation that following Christmas. I had that for a few years and played the shit outta that. Then my friend introduced me to the XBox. I fell in love. A few years later, I bought my own. I didn't have the money to get a XBox 360 when it came out so I just stuck with my XBox 180. I got a Nintendo DSi about a year or two after that. Then, I ended up buying a Nintendo Wii next, more so for the new cool way of playing games...that only lasted a few months....then I got bored of it. 2 years ago I finally got my XBox 360. Only thing, it was used and a modded one. I ended up trading my buddy to borrow his, since he doesn't play on XBL. Then last September I got the new XBox 360 Slim with the 250 Gig HD and I gave the 360 I had back to my friend and told him to keep my modded one since I wont be using that one.

That basically has been my gaming history. I now only have the XBox 180, Nintendo Wii and my XBox 360s. I do have my DSi still, but that has broken since then. Over the next few years I will be going out to find any and all the gaming systems. Working or not. Preferably working though. I might already have a plans to obtain a Playstation and a Playstaion 2. *fingers crossed*

So that's my plan. To obtain all video game systems that I could find. This will be an adventure in itself.

I'll be looking out for any and all yard sales I can find to look for those hidden gems. So wish me luck.
And if anyone that lives in or around Windsor Ontario and are wanting to get rid of some old systems, please let me know.

Spring time clean up

Well, life has been pretty good the last little bit. Some ups and some downs but overall, its been amazing.
Been spending loads of time with my daughter and taking her out almost every other weekend. It's almost burning a whole in my pocket so I need to slow down. lol

My bowling league is almost done. This Saturday is my last week. I'm gonna miss it, but this will give me the time to work on improving my game. I'm gonna try and teach myself how to throw a hook instead of throwing a straight ball. My average has went from a 132 last year to a 128 now. I did however start with a 141 average this year, but it has slowly went down.

I'm gonna be moving in the next 3-ish months. Gonna get me a small apartment so I can save lots of money. I will miss living in big houses and my own yard but I wont have to pay as much to heat it up, and the overall, I'll be saving more money. I just need to find a place where I can get cable internet or hopefully I can get internet from Telus. Their phone services are amazing. I've never had a problem with them. (Not sure when Telus will be having satellite internet in Ontario though.)

I just recently got a new router. A Linksys EA2700 Dual-Band N600 Router with Gigabit. My last router was an older Linksys BEFW11S4. Which after doing a little search online I found out was made in 2004. Who would have thought that an 8 year router would still work with a house with 3 smart phone's, 2 Nintendo Wii's, 2 Nintendo DSi XL's, 2 computers, 2 HDTV's and an XBox 360. Usually only 5 of the 12 things were connected at any given time. I just have to wait until my one buddy stops by with his XBox and see if we can go online with both. My last router would drop one of both of us from XBL consistently.

Now about my blog. I've been pondering the past month on what direction I want my blog to go in. Cause right now, the way it is, its pretty dead. And I haven't had that much ambition to write more. I get ideas to write something quiet a lot, but by the time I chew over all the facts I would like to write about, it doesn't seem as interesting a topic to post. Maybe I'm over thinking things though. I think the direction I will be going though can be easily titled, "The Life of a Gamer, inside and outside the ones and zeros." I think this will be more accurate to describe my blog.

Anyways, I have been also thinking of doing a podcast or whatever, but I'm too lazy atm to set anything up or get all the information I would need to start recording one. Hell, I might just use the Avatar Kinect to record. lol
Or maybe even use my iPhone to record audio or video and go from there...but that's way too far in the future, I will be focusing on the now. I will try to get my blogz up more, but life tends to get in the way....only time will tell. Also, most of my blogz I have a lil saying at the end and I will try to keep this up.

The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day he created Spring.

Enjoy your Spring people,

Thinking of a Possible New Contest to do.

So far, my blog has passed 1000 views. Less then I was hoping for around this time but that could have been affected by the amount of times I have actually wrote a blog. I can only really blame myself, but it's more fun to blame other people. So, you readers suck for not spreading my blog around. Doesn't everyone want to read about nothing? You have people trolling forums just to find something to piss someone off. lol

Anyways, now for the purpose of this blog. I want to make this blog a little more professional. I want to get a logo, background image and an updated photo of myself. Not sure if it'll be just of myself or a photoshopped image of myself. First of all, I want a logo though. Nothing big or extravagant, just something that pops.

So here it is. Anyone and everyone (in the U.S. or Canada) can participate. I would like people to send me an logo image in a photo type file. (jpg, bmp, gif) I want `Johnny Blazez Blogz` in it anyway possible. The rest is up to you. Just remember it is a logo so keep it simple. Depending on how many people send me a entry, will determine what I will be giving away. I am hoping on giving away another year of XBL or maybe 4800ms points. I don't think I have many PlayStation gamers out there so I don't know if I'll be doing a PSpoints card for the winner but that depends on who I choose to win.

If I get a lot of entries, I will post them in a blog and have people to vote on them. You can send up to 5 entries but I will only pick one of those to be voted on. Send all entries to this email addy   I currently don't have an end time for this but I was thinking to give people at least a month, so today is March 1st. I hope to have enough entries in by April 1st. Then the voting will start sometime around then.

Get the designing people.

Things you see that you don't talk about...

A lot of us have been in a position where we see things happening and we don't talk or say anything about it. We look the other way, we pretend not to see or notice it, but we do, and its stuck in the back of our heads wondering, should I leave it or do something about it. This is where most of us get stuck. Should we take a step onto the edge and bring up the issue and either possibly have it backfire and blow up on everyone, or have it stop the situation all together. If we don't take the chance, you will sit back and watch helplessly as some peoples lives get more complicated and possibly in the end, ruin everyone's lives that are tied together with the issue. What I'm mainly talking about is cheating.

Most likely we have all been in a situation where we have seen friends or family sleeping around behind their partners back. I am speaking loosely of sleeping around. It doesn't have to be sex, just another relationship all together. Anyways, we have been in this situation and we all have chewed over what to do. Most often, we just ignore everything and just let it move on its coarse at its own leisure. Even though we know it will ruin at least one of the individuals involved emotionally. But we stand by and do nothing. We would rather watch peoples lives get turned upside down around us as we sit by idly so we don't get pulled into the drama.

I have three individuals on one of my online social profiles that are caught up in this drama. Two of the three I've known for a while and one of those I've known their family for an easy 15+ years. I've been asked by one person to check the others social page for information, and to show the other person an email that was sent to me of a long conversation of the two. I know more then I want to. And I don't plan on hearing anymore information on the situation. I did say my piece at one point to two of the individuals but one didn't want to hear anything, and the other listened, but from what I seen, went back to pursuing the one caught in the middle. So in the end, I tried, but no progress was made on my part. So, I am done.

I can't say that you should go and tell people when they hear of someone cheating on them, or just leave them alone. This is a type of thing that should be talked about between friends and family that if one person knows their friend or family is being cheated on, then they would know if they should speak up or not. I for one would want someone to tell me if someone I was in a relationship with was cheating on me. I personally despise cheaters. I've dumped women in the past when I found out that they slept with someone else.

Cheaters never win, Winners never cheat, and chickens look funny in pink spandex.

The Elder Scrolls Skyrim MMO....How would it work?

I know a lot of people out there are like me and would love to play Skyrim online with other people. Or at least just a couple friends. But for a game that was created for only one player, how can it work with multiple players? Would it be PvP, PvE or a mix of the two??! Over this blog, I will give the pros and cons of what I think would work and wouldn't work if they branched this game into where you can play online with other people through DLC or just another new game all together.

The first thing that comes to mind is the quests. Unless you have caves that consistently re-spawn enemies, and items, this would be a problem. I know some caves do re-spawn some enemies but that's only after a couple days in the game. As for items, I haven't seen all the chests filled again after going back. Also would the quests be for anyone in any party size to be able to do them, or will there be some quests designated for X amount of players?!  But tweaks like this would be easily made.

How would the story-line change?
All of us that has played The Elder Scrolls games know that after doing certain quests, things in the game change. With multiple people playing at once, this would cause a problem. Maybe Jimmy didn't do the Dark Brotherhood's quest where he has to kill the high queen of Skyrim, and Mike did. Jimmy will still see the high queen but Mike wont. If they paired up together and went to the city that the high queen was in, Jimmy might be left alone while Mike will get attacked from the guards. Or Maybe Jimmy did the storm-cloaks quests and Mike did the Legion. That would have conflicting story-lines going. Who would be in charge of the Holds in Skyrim? The only way I can see this happening is with minimum issues is having the rebellion a constant thing of change. Different people are put into Jaul positions, quests will have you kill different NPC's that change every time someone kills the last. And the rebellion could be whatever side has had more completed missions be in charge of Skyrim. To simplify that, 37 people completed the Storm-cloaks mission where 49 people completed the Legion side. So, the Legion will be in charge of the land. This would leave to every interesting things happening.

Now the big part that has my head confused on how it would work. PvP or PvE or PvE/P....
First I will say, the only way I can see this working is having the world as a PvE and have arena's that are PvP. They can implement a PvP outside the arena but that would be best where you can only fight people within 5 levels or so of yourself and if both people agree like how they have it Borderlands. I know in sometimes in Skyrim I would go around and easily kill a NPC with one arrow, now just imagine playing it as a MMO and some dick at level 55 walks to a guy who is level 6 and one shot kills him, then loots his body. That would get annoying fast.

These are the main points I can see that would be an issue with turning this great game into a MMO or at least a co-op experience. The one main thing that I, and many others will love is you and your friends can finally settle the argument on who has a stronger character. lol

Sorry this took so long to get out but I wanted to chew over my words and make sure everything sounded good before publishing.

If anyone has time, check out the Skyrim Off The Record podcast. Always a great show.

H.U.O. - Hearing Unknown Object

Ya ya, I'm a day late, what are you gonna do about it? Yesterday was a bad day for the most part. My daughter was way too sassy and for me getting up at 5am on the weekend both days made me a little short tempered so I just didn't want to sit down to write this. And I couldn't access some sites I needed to on my home computer for some reason.

Well, here is the blog I talked about....

I seen a post about this on my facebook page and I watched the video and it got me interested. I posted on a forum for people to discuss it so I can get some feedback before writing the blog. Plus I didn't want to jump into this posted about it and not having much information. I still don't have much though. Just speculation and a collection of thoughts from many people.

Anyways here is the video on Youtube

Its a 15 minute video of a sound heard from western Canada to places in Russia, Europe and many other places. It sounds a little like the sound from War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise in it but it also doesn't seem to be the same from clip to clip. There are similarity to them but it could be some small audio tweaks to change it.
The sounds started from January 11th, 2012 to the 16th. I have not heard the sound myself in those days, but because it is winter, I spend 99% of my time inside, hibernating.

There are many things that can make this look like a fake. There are no curious movements from any animals seen in the clips. People in the background seem to be unaware of the sounds. And unless I'm wrong, the clip from Montreal Canada has green leaves and green grass. I know here in Windsor, it was warmer then usual, no snow on the grounds so you can see the grass, but the only green trees were Evergreens. Every other tree had lost their leaves a couple months ago.

The only way I can think of it not being a fake is the variety of locations being taped. And the slight differences between the sounds from clip to clip. Some do seem the same, but others don't. I personally am leaning toward a fake though.

If the sounds are real, but man made, it could be a marketing stunt to promote a new game or movie. We have seen stuff like this happen in the past. One in particular was the ILoveBees.com situation that lead to the release of Halo 2.

In the end, I did not find out if this was a hoax or something real. Again, I am leaning toward something fake. It is something interesting to release to shake people up with this year being 2012. With people already worried about the Mayans calendar and saying the world will end this year. I personally think those people are idiots. Yes I said it, if you believe the world will end this year, please...PLEASE...take a 2 by 4, nail in a 10 inch spike, lay it on the ground, and fall face first into it. This will cause you to not be gullible with the end of the world theories.

The Mayans never said the world will end this year anyways. All their calender says is that our planet, Earth, has made one full trip around the Milky Way Galaxy. The same way our planet circles the Sun. Nothing will change, it will just be year 2 of our galactic year. (Or 3 or 4 or however many time we circled the Milky Way since the time of creation.) (~~~creation from God or the Big Bang or whatever you believe.~~~)(gotta cover all the bases here...lol.)

Please feel free to email me or comment me with your thoughts on this.
my email is JohnnyBlazezBlogz@gmail.com

And before I go, if I am wrong about the end of the world, and man-kind does end in December, come New Years 2013, I will dress as a banana and do disco dancing down the main street of the city...but remember, I will only do this IF the world ends in December...lol

Another exciting blog....NOT!!!! LoL

Well, here is another installment of my blog. Exciting eh!? lol
Well, I've been thinking of how life is now and how it was last year. And I have to say, because of certain things last year, I pretty much had to put my life on hold. I almost even stopped hanging out with friends entirely but thankfully for them, they worked with me and we were able to hang out the odd time. Not as much as I would like, but more then not hanging out with them.

The reason for my life being put on hold was this one job the company I work for had to do. My co-worker and I were taking turns working 12hr shifts. The other days we worked about 7-8 hours. By the end of November, the job was finally done. No more doing work for those guys. Not only did I have to almost stop hanging out with friends because of that job, I also had to put off my dating life. Shitty thing was I was even starting to see this one girl. Fun to hang with, good dancer and a somewhat gamer. Oh and she's done modeling too. lol. I think my chance with her now is gone but there is many more fish in the sea.

I'm looking back into getting in the dating world but some other issues have came up. One major one is the fact that the sub pump in my basement doesn't work all to well. And after having the landlord come in to fix it at least two times, it still doesn't work at times. Everything seems to be going good, then one day I'll wake up or come home from work and part of the basement is now a swimming pool. There are a couple issues that seem to be causing it but the landlord seems to not want to put as much effort into fixing things the proper way and only wants to fix things quickly and cheaply.

Oh and I'll add this so you can get a better view of why this is a major issue. I currently live with my sister, her hubby and their now 3 kids. We all go the place together almost 2 years ago after discussing us moving in together.Well, we agreed that I would get the basement. Just so I can have my own apt like setting.

Now that you know that I basically live in the basement you know how terrible the flooding problem is. Thankfully the basement floor isn't flat and most of the water moves in a very predictable way. I have 99% of my things set up so if the basement floods, the water wont hit anything I don't want ruined. Like my electronics.

So as in my dating life, even though I would love to get back out there and get into a relationship, it looks like I have to put it on hold for the time being. Even though I've been meaning to try and get this one girls number that works at my local EB Games. Or maybe I should still pursue that one girl, and just tell her who I live with and say that I would rather chill at her place to avoid the awkward situation of my sister and her family being there.

This year does seem to be slowly getting better though. Especially from last years crap. It literally put my life in a big slump and I can honestly say, I slipped a little into depression. It sucks but that's life. Take the hits, but keep pushing forward.

I'm loving the more time I get with my daughter. Even though I have to wake up at 5:15am the weeks I have her to get her to daycare on time, it is worth it, BIG TIME!!! I'm even planning a fun day this weekend. From after supper tomorrow night till the time I have to go bowling for my league Saturday night. She's excited, I'm excited. This is gonna be an awesome weekend.

I'm thinking of doing another contest sometime soon. Not sure what it'll be of or what the prizes will be so please email your suggestions or questions or whatever and I'll keep everyone posted. Also if anyone can send me information on how to do a podcast using free software, let me know. I'm thinking of trying it out and maybe I'll do a podcast once a month or something like that.

Until next time, stay cheesy my friends....

The Non-Technological Age

This morning while I was waiting for the bus with my daughter I got the thinking. With how the world is, with technology and such, what would things be like if EVERYTHING electronic just stopped working....so, this is my thoughts on this subject.

First of all, we wont have anymore blogz to read lol. So much of the world would get so chaotic. About 99% of my work is received by emails with 100% of it is done on a computer. There will be no way I could keep a job and I would have to resort to going back into bricklaying. I don't mind the physical labor, but with the experience I have, I know most of the people in that industry are complete assholes. But a job is a job.

There will be no way to get any information to each other except for by word of mouth. There will be no iPods, cell phones or TV's. Life as we know it will completely stop. It will start slowly but I think within a week or two, countries will have to have some form of martial law. The only problem with that is how will the individual cities get their information from the head of the governments? Or do they already have a plan to put into action just in case this situation arose? I know we kinda had a touch of this back in 2003 when approx 55 million people lost power in both Canada and the U.S. Lucky for us, that only lasted a very short time. Not long enough for a society to become chaotic.

Other then many, many bad things that could possibly happen, there are a few good things that most likely will happen. We will find a way to look past our differences and be able to help each other out. We will help our fellow man knowing they will be there to help us when we need it. There will be no need to be better then someone by getting the newest TV or game station or cell phone, etc. People will actually get off their asses and get work done. Over eating will be gone due to lack of artificial foods and lack of actual food. So no more Micky D's for those out there who can't go a couple days without stuffing your face with food that germs won't even touch.

It would take years before the world would be able to get back to `normal`. Countries might actually break up into smaller factions or holds and govern themselves. So the whole corrupted government will actually change from what it is now. And things might actually get done for the better....maybe...lol Well, I can dream can't I...?

How do you think your life will change if all that is electronic just stops working? What would you do to survive? Would humanity survive? Comment, discuss and explain your reasons. Just no flaming...except from me. :)

Oh and if they non-technological age is brought on by a zombie outbreak, sorry, but I'll be tripping your ass to save myself and my daughter so I'll just say sorry now.

Dumb Questions or Dumb People.

I came up with the topic of my blog from a text I got the other day. Before I got the full story, what was asked had to be the dumbest thing I was ever asked. And I am related to this person. :/  The following blog shows that you should re-read your text's before you send them to make sure they mean what you want them to mean.

The text was this, "Hey, if u have no internet so u cant get on the web how is it possible to get on an online game?"..........Most of the people that just read that gave their face a lot of palm. I always said that there is no such thing as a dumb question, only dumb people...lol I just do this to poke fun of everyone, including myself. I love my sister, but she needs to look/think over things before she asks questions. I found out later what she meant. Basically she was able to use her Skype, and play Final Fantasy Online but wasn't able to access any other part of the internet. Not sure why, buy her initial question made me laugh, then be worried cause we share the same blood-line.

Now I know my sister will read this someday and I want to say to her, sorry but that question was just funny and I had to mention it in my blog, but I'll be nice and not tell everyone who you are and that your name is Suzie....ooops...lol

I know all of us either have had someone as a dumb question or we ourselves have asked a dumb question. But are they really dumb questions or dumb people or neither?? I have to say its a little of all.

Dumb questions are only thought of as dumb questions by people who already know the answer and have figured out that it's just common sense in their life......but not so common in other people's lives.

Dumb people are everywhere but when they are ignorant and don't know anything about their question, then they aren't technically dumb, just ignorant or un-knowledgeable of the information in question. And with someone answering the question, they are less dumb. In the end, it wasn't either a dumb question or dumb person, just a learning experience.

In conclusion, I find that everyone in their own right are dumb but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Look at it this way, the dumber you are, the more you can learn. So try and learn at least one new thing a day, so when you go to bed at night, you know that that day wasn't wasted.

Rage: Blazing Game Review

I would have made this post earlier but I didn't because I wanted my excitement and then, disappointment of this game to subside before writing a review of it.

First of all, this game is visually stunning. The graphics are amazing. When you first walk outside from the start of the game, the environment looks beautiful. Yes it is apocalyptic looking but it is still very beautiful. The clouds looks like the best clouds in any game I have seen. The only problem, they don't move. Its the same all the time. The day doesn't change so its bright and sunny the whole time you play except if you are inside someplace. The character renderings are done pretty well too. When the characters talk, its like they are actually talking, well, with some small hiccups in some place, but not too much.

The sound, done pretty well. I haven't tried it with my Turtle Beach headset to get the full effect, but I don't think I need to attempt that.

The game play feels like a traditional ID Software game. It has the same feeling as Quake, and Doom and I have played most if not all of those games, even Wolfenstein back in the day. I like the mechanics of everything in it. It flows nice and smooth and the loading times are not that bad. Better if you install the game to your hard drive....if you have enough room. I also like how they put in the tribute rooms for those 3 games I mentioned above. Very nice guys, very nice.

I played the shit outta the game when I got it. I don't think anything else went in my system for a good week or two. I know they were going for an RPG/FPS type game but it felt like the whole thing was on rails. Rails that let you choose this or that at only a couple places but it was still gonna end up the same place at the end and have the exact same feel no matter how you played.

The enemies were nice to fight. I liked how the different types had different fighting styles and such. But you only really got to fight them a couple times and when they were done in those area's, they were gone forever. Well, except for the guys in vehicles. They always come back.

The one "boss" fight were you had to kill a giant, 20 story mutant was pretty fun but that made the ending fight not worth it. Yes I know a lot of games are implementing a continuous wave like fights but when you have that as the last fight before you beat the game, its crap. I'd rather do that in mini missions a couple times in the game. They should have had a huge boss fight with maybe mini waves to help him at the end. I was disappointed in the ending.

I do see that they left it open to continue on the game in later games but will they continue on or was this a swan song that didn't go as far as they wanted. I heard many good things leading up to the game, and within the first 2-4 weeks the game was out, but that was it. The more people that beat the game, the less you hear how awesome the game was. Don't get me wrong, I do still like the game a lot but the hype and visual graphics made the game seem a lot better then it was.

I might find time over the next year or two to go back and beat the game on the hardest difficulty and get all the achievements but I have other, better games to play and beat.

I give this game 3.75 flames outta 5.
ID, please put a little more effort into the next RAGE game PLEASE!!!
